Building the Future of Craft Beer
From Kelowna to the world, one brewery at a time
How It All Began
Our story begins at Cactus Club Café, where Mitch and Noah first met as expeditors before becoming servers. Noah's outgoing personality quickly drew Mitch in, and one day Noah invited him out to Craft Beer Market for wings – and as they say, they never looked back.
Over 3.5 years working together at Cactus, their friendship deepened, culminating in an unforgettable 2-month adventure through Europe in the summer of 2023. It was during this trip that everything changed.
Mitch had been nurturing an idea since 2022, watching Kelowna's beer industry grow exponentially while feeling frustrated by the lack of a great way to discover breweries and their unique offerings. One evening in Europe, he brought up his vision for Hops to Noah – a platform to bring beer lovers and breweries together in one place.
Noah loved the idea immediately. When Mitch asked if he wanted to be business partners and go all in together, the answer was a resounding yes. Even the name "Hops" came from that European adventure – suggested by Mitch's dad, Brad, and instantly beloved by both founders.


Building Something Amazing
Since starting production in mid-2024, Hops has been in development for almost a year. Mitch and Noah have worked relentlessly, driven by their shared vision of creating something truly special for the craft beer community.
The Okanagan region is home to the third most breweries in the province, with over 21 breweries throughout the surrounding areas. Yet many beer lovers struggle to discover these hidden gems, and breweries need better ways to connect with their ideal customers.
That's where Hops comes in – we're not just another marketplace, we're building a community that celebrates craft beer culture while providing breweries with the tools they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive market.
We can't wait for users and breweries alike to experience and love what we've built. This is just the beginning of our journey to transform how people discover and connect with craft beer.
